Prior to joining Banis Marketing, Laurie Boyce was the Principal of The MarCom LAB, a full service Marketing Communications Consulting Company (formerly Violet Communications) and former Publisher of Violet Magazine for Women, a local publication for women in the Capital Region. She has a BS in Business Management/Business Administration from Empire State College, and an AAS in Graphic Design from the Sage Junior College of Albany. With more than 12 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, and publishing, Laurie is uniquely positioned to serve as a strategic partner to individual business owners, and organizations. She worked for several years with an international publisher marketing hundreds of products, coordinating numerous events, and serving as a resource for more than 100 sales reps. Laurie applies a big business mentality to small and mid-sized businesses to guide them through to the most important steps to establishing a brand, and driving sales growth. She doesn’t believe in a cookie-cutter approach. Each client deserves a customized marketing plan, and a solution that meets their business need, and their marketing budget. Laurie’s strength lies in her willingness to listen to clients to ascertain their needs, and the ability to manage the most complicated projects to produce results. In 2007, Laurie served as the VP of Marketing for the New York Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association and led the Production sub-committee for the 2006 AMA’s Mark of Excellence Awards. She has been an AMA member since 2000. |
