Focusing On Priorities

Banis Marketing is only interested in producing the marketing needed to produce results – nothing more, nothing less. To do this, we need a starting point. And with us, everything starts with establishing clear priorities.

A Word about Priorities

When running your organization it’s easy to get too close to the forest to see the trees. We call that condition Business Blindness. This is the unfortunate condition of not being able to establish priorities because you’re likely too busy running your business to take a step back to plan.

In case you suffer from a touch of business blindness, here’s a list of sample priorities that need marketing:

Quantitative Priorities:

Qualitative Priorities:

 More profits
 More revenue
 More return on your investments
 More time
More customers, members,     benefactors, or referrals
 Happier customers
 A great reputation
Grow the business to sell it
 Pass to next generation

Here’s a quick example

When you drive to dinner, you may want to drive a BMW, but a Hyundai will certainly do the job. The difference in price is over $30,000. That better be some dinner. Setting clear priorities is the key to not wasting money. It clears the fog so that we can clearly see what is absolutely necessary to achieve the objective.

Look, sometimes the BMW is the right choice. But you’ve got to be able to afford it. And even if you can afford it, is it a better investment to buy 1 BMW or 3 Hyundais?

The answer comes from having a proper focus, establishing clear priorities, and knowing exactly who your target market is and how to reach them.
